Principal's Weekly Letter - Dec. 5th
December 5th, 2025 Aloha ELS ‘Ohana, Weekly Recap It was good to get back into the swing of things this week. I pray that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. In preschool this week, they had a “snowball” match with 5th graders. I was also able to spend a little time in Mrs. Decoite’s class building houses and railroad tracks. In kindergarten, I seem to pop in during snack a LOT! Today I went down and it was recess, the sandbox was a huge hit. I know in the cl

Principal's Weekly Letter - Nov. 14
November 14, 2025 Aloha ELS ‘Ohana, Weekly Recap Preschoolers were enjoying some play time, getting ready for a bear hunt, and practicing their counting skills. Kindergarten - I was able to snap a picture with some friends wearing aloha attire. I also heard some students reading out loud (very impressive). They were able to tell me when to use “a” and “an” in a sentence. Great work! 1st Grade - Students were carefully working in the phonics workbook and had just finished a

Principal's Weekly Letter - Oct. 31
October 31st, 2025 Aloha ELS ‘Ohana, Weekly Recap Believe it or not, this was our 1st 5 day week in the month of October. I can’t believe it will be November when we return on Monday. This week I stopped into all the classrooms for a weekly check in. In preschool, I got a few high fives and hugs at snack time. In kindergarten I saw students being great listeners with volunteers in class for centers. 1st graders were identifying things that come in pairs. 2nd graders wer

Principal's Weekly Letter - Oct. 27
October 27th, 2025 Aloha ELS ‘Ohana, Fall Festival For some reason I didn’t send a Friday letter last week…. It must have had something to do with Friday being FALL FESTIVAL!! Last week was a great week at school with lots of wonderful things going on in the classrooms but the culmination of the week was (without a doubt) the festivities on Friday night! I cannot thank you enough for the support that was provided to bring everything together. It all starts with Ms. Omura

Thank you for taking the time to meet with your teachers this week. Our work at ELS is a partnership with YOU! Fall Festival The 2nd quarter is fully underway and th
