Principals Weekly Letter

Updated: Dec 20, 2024

December 12th, 2024

I’m sending this today, Thursday December 13th, 2024 to give one more reminder for the concert tomorrow evening.  All Choirs and all grades will be performing.

This week at ELS

I heard preschoolers singing, laughing, and saw some working on somersaults at recess.  Kindergartens worked on counting backwards and their Letter Z Books.  1st graders were studying cause and effect.  2nd graders worked on this or that sentence deciding which things they liked best about Christmas.  3rds graders did a great job with their readers' theatre.  4th graders were busy in their Math centers identifying lines, rays, and segments.  5th graders and 7th graders were both working on their 5-a-day grammar lessons.  6th graders were analyzing and graphing data while 8th graders took the Chapter 6 Science Tests.  These were just a few of things I saw going on in class this week.  We also practiced our Christmas songs in preparation for the concert tomorrow.
