Student of the Month Oct/Nov

The theme for Student of the Month in the months of October and November was centered around the concept of "kōkua," which translates to "to help" in Hawaiian. This theme was chosen to emphasize the importance of community support, kindness, and the spirit of assisting one another, which are values that we hold dear within our school community. Announcements regarding the honorees were made yesterday, Wednesday, December 4th, during our Chapel service, a time when we come together as a community to celebrate achievements and foster a sense of belonging among students, faculty, and staff.

Every year, ELS combines the recognition for October and November due to the interruptions caused by holiday breaks and the limited school days available during these months. This thoughtful approach allows us to ensure that every deserving student receives the acknowledgment they deserve without being overshadowed by the holiday festivities.

We are immensely proud of this month's honorees who have exemplified the spirit of kōkua through their actions and contributions to our school community. Their willingness to lend a hand, support their peers, and engage positively within the classroom and beyond stands as a testament to their character and dedication.

Congratulations to each of the students recognized this month! Your hard work and commitment to helping others have not gone unnoticed. We encourage you to continue this excellent work, as it not only enriches your own educational experience but also inspires those around you to follow in your footsteps. Keep shining brightly and making a difference in our community!
