Aloha ELS ‘Ohana,
Weekly Recap
A quick shout out to our Student Council (Evie Nakamura, Sophia Fletcher, Adam Dahlgren, Rylee Ortogero, Keala Withers and Ellyn Tamparong) they were also quite instrumental in the planning of Field Day and I left them off the list last week. Their efforts as a Student Council now shift to completing the Yearbook. Thank you to our Student Council!
This week, I enjoyed visiting various classrooms and observing our students engaged in learning.
Preschool students heard about the upcoming FUN RUN and the exciting prizes they can win.
Kindergarten was busy with center activities, balancing work and play. I was impressed by the beautiful handwriting I saw as they practiced writing the numbers 17 and 18.
First graders were hard at work, with some excelling in Accelerated Reader while others completed their spelling and math assignments.
Second graders showed their creativity during a unique art assignment.
Third graders demonstrated careful reading skills, working to extract essential information from story problems.
Fourth graders explored the celestial world, studying the different phases of the moon.
Fifth graders participated in a spirited Blooket competition.
Sixth graders continued their detailed research assignments on the planets.
Seventh graders engaged in imaginative poetry writing.
Eighth graders delved into history, studying the critical events that led up to WWI.

*FUN RUN UPDATE
I am continually amazed and grateful for the support of our biggest annual Fundraiser. We are just one week in and have already raised nearly $26,000 of our schoolwide goal of $60,000. Simply Incredible! We will have two weeks remaining. Please share the links with family and friends and help us reach our goal! If you haven’t received your email with the information please let us know and we will get that to you ASAP!!
**Open House
We will have an Open House for new and prospective families on Thursday, February 26th. Please check out the Open House Flyer.
Please help us spread the word! If you would like to print and post the flyer or share it on social media we would greatly appreciate your efforts. As a small token of appreciation, those sharing the flyers can let the office know (just take a picture or shoot us an email) and your child will earn a “FREE DRESS DAY” on Monday, March 2nd. In addition, if a new family lists you as a reference on Thursday at the Open House, we will send a small gift as a token of our appreciation.
Re-Enrollment
Priority Window for current families is open for 1 more week. Please take the time to re-enroll and secure your spot for the 2026-2027 school year. On Tuesday February 17th, we will begin offering available spaces to new families who have gone through the application process.
Financial aid is available, but limited, please complete your application for financial aid by March 13th.
Click on the link to check out some gear available for purchase! The shop will remain open for 3 more days!
Spring Camp - From Mrs. Davenport
Check your calendars! If you need camp over Spring Break please contact Mrs. Davenport. She is getting ready to send out registration. Camps are available for any students (Grades K-8). Cost is $200/wk or $50/day.
Accreditation Survey
Many thanks to those who have completed our accreditation survey. The survey link will remain accessible for an additional two weeks. For those interested in the statistical context of the survey, 117 responses would yield a 95% confidence level, and 62 responses would provide a 90% confidence level. We would be fully satisfied to receive between 62 and 117 responses; we are approaching this goal. Thank you once again for your assistance with our accreditation process and the feedback you have provided.
God’s Blessings!
Mr. Rempfer
